We (who else but my hubby and me) left KL for our weekend/holiday getaway to one of my favourite places in the whole of Malaysia, Penang Island - the Pearl of the Orient. We left quite late on Friday nite coz we wanted to take a slow lazy drive. We have planned to stay at a friend's (Suresh) place at Sungai Petani (SP), about 45 minutes from the island. Nearing Penang, we got a call from Suresh asking us to join him at a pub before heading home. So we changed to a more appropriate attire (in the car, he he he) and joined Suresh and a buddy of his at a pub, Taj. It was quite different from the ones that I have been in KL. An unassuming place of a small crowd of after work males, smoking, drinking and playing pool. The songs were good. We stayed about an hour and left to SP.
